PM Modi Praises Jain Scholar’s 500th Book; Outlines 9 Key Resolutions for India’s Youth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the release of Jain scholar Shrimad Vijayaratna Sunder Surishwarji Maharaj’s 500th book via a video message. Calling the occasion “sacred,” the PM hailed the Maharaj’s literary journey as a “vast ocean of thought” that offers spiritual solutions to modern challenges.

‘Premnu Vishva’: A Mantra for Global Harmony

The Prime Minister specifically praised the theme of the latest book, “Premnu Vishva, Vishvano Prem” (The World of Love, The Love of the World). He noted that its message of peace and harmony is urgently needed at a time when the world faces deep divisions and conflicts.

The 9 Resolutions for a Developed India

Drawing from the Jain principle of “Parasparopagraho Jivanam” (interconnectivity of all life), PM Modi reiterated nine resolutions to empower the nation:

  1. Water Conservation: Saving every drop of water.
  2. Environment: Planting a tree in the name of one’s mother (Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam).
  3. Cleanliness: Maintaining hygiene across the country.
  4. Vocal for Local: Promoting indigenous products.
  5. Bharat Darshan: Encouraging domestic tourism.
  6. Natural Farming: Transitioning to chemical-free agriculture.
  7. Healthy Lifestyle: Focusing on nutrition and wellness.
  8. Yoga & Sports: Making physical activity a daily habit.
  9. Social Welfare: Committing to helping the poor and marginalized.

Youth: The Drivers of ‘Viksit Bharat’

The Prime Minister emphasized that India’s youth are the primary builders of a developed nation. “The youth are building a developed India while strengthening our cultural roots,” he stated, adding that the guidance of spiritual leaders like Maharaj is essential for this transformation.
